Temptation- What is the definition?
Something that allures, excites, and seduces us. A strong urge or desire especially to evil.
Infatuation can also lead to temptation, as someone might do something for love in spite of one’s better judgement. Other words that describe temptation are= persuasion, allurement, seduction, and enticement.
In the bible= Luke:11 1 One of Jesus’s disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. Jesus answered them by giving them – The Lords Prayer.
-Temptation is around us every day.- Redemption is only through Jesus Christ, who delivers us from evil, as is said in the Lords prayer.
If we are tempted, we must go to Jesus. When we are tempted, we must call on the name of Jesus, He delivers us from all evil.
Country singer = Josh Turner made a = You tube video called = I am second. A testimony of his Christian faith. He says ” his hit song = Long Black Train was inspired by a vision he had. He said ” the song is a metaphor for temptation, and redemption.” After he finished writing the song he came to realize it wasn’t written for money, glory or fame. It was written to inspire, and touch hearts. He says ” God is first in my life, I am second.” He also says” No song that I can ever write can give me redemption. Only Jesus can do that.”
