There are many prayers that we can say daily, but I was thinking this morning how perfect this prayer of St Francis is, especially today when there is so much hatred in the world around us, it upsets us, it affects us, what can we do? How can we help make this world a better place? A more peaceful place for us, and for our families?
As for me starting today this will be another of my new years resolutions. I am going to keep this prayer close by me where I can say it, and reflect on the words and its positive meaning in my life each day. I believe if each person did that, this world would be transformed. The Lord gave St Francis this prayer to say not only for himself, but for others as well.
Won’t you join me in this chain for love and peace? To fight against hatred in our world. We are the channels that God will use to make this world a better place. Please pass it on.

Make me a channel of your peace,
where there is hatred let me bring your love,
Where there is injury, your pardon Lord,
Where there is doubt true faith in you,
Make me a channel of your peace,
Where there’s despair in life, let me bring hope,
Where there is darkness, only light,
And where there’s sadness, ever joy
