Our Blessed Mother first came to Medjugorje on June 24, 1981, but she did not begin giving messages to the world until 1987, through the visionary, Marija.
On May 25,1987 Our Blessed Mother gives us her purpose in coming to Medjugorje.
” Dear children,I call each of you to begin to live in God’s love.
Dear children, you are ready to commit sin and to place yourselves in Satan’s hands without reflection.
I call on each one of you to consciously choose God and to reject Satan.
I am your Mother and so I wish to lead all of you to complete holiness.
I want you to be happy on earth and then to join me in heaven.
This is, dear children my purpose in coming here, and my desire.”
Our Blessed Mother asks only that we ” consciously choose God and reject Satan.”
