A New Year, new beginnings, fresh starts. I so love new beginnings. I will close the door from 2021, and open the door to 2022, and let the light of Christ shine in and also fresh air. I picked my new word for the year, as I normally do each year. This year I was inspired to choose the word trust as my perfect word. I have chosen the word trust because I know that I need more trust in the Lord in my life. I know that by reflecting on this word daily it will teach me something new each day, and help me become a better person.
Have you thought about a special word that will inspire you each day this year?
I also love making New Year’s resolotions, I think most people do.
As for me, I will focus on balancing my six life arena’s each day. I have written about our six life arena’s in detail, it is on this web site. I have found that balancing my six life arena’s in the course of a day has helped me become more peaceful, and whole. The six life arena’s are? Self- Relationships- Spirituality- Career- leisure- Family
They do not have to be in order.
1- Self= Doing all that I can to help myself-To be as healthy as possible
2= Relationships- My friends and co workers also need me. How are these relationships doing? Maybe I can improve this year?
3= Spirituality- Having a spiritual life means spending time with God in prayer each day. My suggestion to you is if you are not reading sacred scripture every day, now at the beginning of the year, is a good time to start. All you need is a Bible, and an open heart. I have found that the Holy Spirit speaks to us through reading Holy Scripture. Maybe Psalms would be a good place to start?
4= Career- Making a living for one’s self and family. Career is very important in our lives, but we must remenber that we have six life arena’s in order to be balanced in life, each one of these arena’s has its place of importance.
5= Leisure- We need to do something to relax each day, something we enjoy, something that makes us happy and is not job related.
6= Family- To share myself with my family, to be present to them, to listen, to speak, to comfort , to be gentle, and loving.
These inspirations I wanted to share with you, for this New Year.
God Bless us all
