I feel so happy, I feel so gay, I wish this time of the year would stay.
I wonder? Is it the gifts we give to each other?
To our wife’s, sisters, mothers, and brothers?
Or maybe it’s the cards we write once a year?
Or those we think about with maybe a tear?
It could be the Christmas tree, so fresh, and so green,
That we take so much time to trim, and too preen?
Or maybe it’s looking out the window, on the new fallen snow,
That brings back fond memories of Christmas’s ago?
Sometimes I wonder why this time of the year is so special?
Why we can sing, and laugh without even a reason? Maybe we know, cause it’s only a season.
The babe in the manger has shown us the way,
To lighten our hearts, and to love one another,
By sharing our gifts that we give to each other.
To enjoy what’s around us this time of the year,
Let us be peaceful, and loving, and live without fear.
Come Christmas, and stay all year.
