I will begin with Our Blessed Mothers latest message from Medjugorje for us.
Dear Children, I am calling you to pray, not to ask for but to offer sacrifice-sacrificing yourselves. I am calling you to reveal the truth and merciful love. I am praying to my son for you, for your faith, which is all the more diminishing in your hearts. I am imploring Him to help you with the divine spirit, as I also desire to help you with my motherly spirit. My children, you must be better. Only those who are pure, humble and filled with love sustain the world-they are saving themselves and the world. My children, my son is the heart of the world. He should be loved and prayed to, and not always betrayed anew. Therefore, you apostles of my love, spread the faith in the hearts of people by your example, your prayer and merciful love. I am beside you, I will help you. Pray for your shepherds to have all the more light, so as to be able to illuminate all those who live in darkness. Thank you.
The United States conference of Catholic Bishops tells us what the New Evangelization is.
The New Evangelization calls each of us to deepen our faith, to believe in the gospel message and go forth to proclaim the gospel. The focus of The New Evangelization calls all Catholics to be evangelized and then go forth to evangelize.
In a special way, The New Evangelization is focused on re-proposing the gospel to those who have experienced a crisis of faith.
Pope Benedict xv1 Called for the re-proposing of the gospel” to those regions awaiting the first evangelization and to those regions where the roots of Christianity are deep but who have experienced a serious crisis of faith due to secularization,” The New Evangelization invites each Catholic to renew their relationship with Jesus Christ and his church.
To me this is what The New Evangelization is like.
The mustard seed “Mark 4; 31 – 32 ‘It is like a mustard seed that, when it is sown in the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on the earth. But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the sky can dwell in its shade.”
In this year 2017-from Sept until now I have had the privilege of giving a ten minute inspirational talk each month. This is my way of evangelizing. What has inspired me, and helped bring me closer to the hearth of God, I wish to share with you, because, as I would put it in a poetic form” If I am inspired, you will be too?”
Our Blessed Mother is asking us to pray, love, and witness. She is asking us to use the gifts that the Holy Spirit has given us to evangelize.
